Health Care

The basic health indicators of Orissa are far below the national averages. The situation is further aggravated due to illiteracy, ignorance, unsuitable service delivery systems, natural disasters and poverty. The weaker sections of society, including the indigent scheduled castes and scheduled tribes, landless families, labourers, disabled persons and women are highly vulnerable to health problems. Now it is a matter of public concern and prioritized in the agenda of all Government Organisations and Non-Governmental Development Organisations.

Presently health care is one of the prime focuses of NYSASDRI. It is mostly emphasizing the health requirements of the socially deprived and marginalised sections of the society.
