DISABILITY

Disables are really differently able. But they are vulnerable to many situations due to lack of attention. In rural and poor families, they are more marginalised and disadvantaged due to a variety of factors. Lack of access to productive resources and the opportunity for skill are some of those. This can enable their participation in social, economic and political process. They have same basic needs as other members of their age, gender, economic and social group. However, they are handicapped when they encounter social, cultural, physical and economic barriers, which limit them to participate in social mainstream.
