Representatives from HLFPPT, LEPRA, CRS, OVHA and other organisations/ individuals participated in this workshop. Objective of the workshop was to creating a platform for highlighting PPP (Public-Private Partnership) model of NYSASDRI. NYSASDRI is managing two single doctored PHCs in Jajpur and Dhenkanal Districts since 2005. This was a good opportunity to show case the best practices of the management. NYSASDRI’s successful intervention has opened up windows of opportunity for other NGOs to manage similar PHCs under PPP. The workshop provided a chance to learn from experiences of the project.

Key findings of a focused research into ‘District Level Healthcare System’ have been published. This research study was undertaken by i-Concept Initiatives and Sahyog Research Pvt. Ltd. on behalf of NYSASDRI. The draft report submitted for the purpose brought out number of crucial issues that plug the district level health system and prevent common people from accessing the primary health care setups.

This workshop was attended by no of representatives from media as well as independent consultants also.
