It has resulted that a numbers of families has been restructured to lead a healthy family life in the society. During the year cases with physical and mental torture for dowry, pre-marital issues, extra-marital relationship, marital maladjustment with husband and in-laws, personality difference between spouses, Violence of husband due to drug addiction and alcoholism, family burden and economic crisis etc are registered.
These types of family problems are solved by the FCC through counseling to both the families in separate and joint sessions, referral to different support service institution like police station, legal aid, grievance cell of district authority, women cell (Astha), Mahila Commission, HRPC and Short stay home etc for further support from the agencies. As a part of counseling/ settling a case the counselor organizes home visits and session meetings for reconciliation among the cases, involving the family members, relatives, community leaders, PRI members, police and government officials. A sub committee under the chairmanship of Block Development Officer, Gondia, and other members like Child Development Project Officer (ICDS), In charge of Gondia police station, one advocate and one social activist sitting on quarterly basis reviews FCC activities. A total of 4 numbers of sub committee meeting is organized in the FCC premises during the year. Awareness generation is also created on activities of FCC and its benefits for socially disturbed families, community's responsibility to prevent pre-marital and extra-marital relations in rural area. Wall paintings, hanging of banner and distribution of leaflet in the community have been done as a part of propagation of FCC. |
