Camps
Out-reach
camps were organised, regularly, in remote and rural
areas, in order to make the quality service available to
the inhabitants of the villages at their doorstep. In
these camps, ere patients are provided ophthalmic
services such as, eye check, administration of vitamin-A
for controlling xeropthalmic and screenings of school
children’s to detect their refractive errors. In
addition, Visuals disabilities are spotted and the
community sensitised on eyecare. Treatment for minute
ailments is provided on the spot- without any cost.
Cataract problems are identified and supported for
surgery in the base hospitals. A seven-member team
including one ophthalmologist and a van is being engaged
in this activity on every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday
of a week.

Patient Department
At
the base hospital medical services are provided through
Out Patients’ Department (OPD)- open to all sections
of the society without any social or economic
discrimination. Patients avail Services like treatment
of eye diseases, Refractometry, Keratometry, Contact
Lense and Refra-series. A very reasonable fee is
collected from Patients- those are economically sound to
afford the cost.
