Target
Group and Area of Operation
From the
beginning NYSASDRI is always striving for extending
development programmes to the remote and needy regions
where large numbers of deprived and neglected people are
living without access to any kind of service. Hence, the
organisation is working in distant and inaccessible
forest patches in the central, northern, southern and
western parts of Orissa. The total population of the
present operational area is about 2.2 million. Out of
them about 90% people is living Below Poverty Line (BPL)
without access to their minimum survival needs. The area
is backward with fragile communication, poor
infrastructure and prone to several calamities including
drought, flood and cyclone. More than 90% of the
beneficiaries of the organisation belong to Scheduled
Caste and Scheduled Tribes.
The
geographical area of operation of NYSASDRI is as below.
