Management, Accountability & Human Resource


Management:

There are 25 members in the general body belonging to local community. Nine of them are elected to the management council, known as the executive body. The executive body posses the authority of managing day-to-day affairs of the organisation. As a matter of practice, this body seats thrice a year for planning and review of the progress. The general body meets ones annually to plan and review the policies. A member of the executive body is selected as the Chief Executive of the organisation and is designated as Member Secretary–cum–Director. He is being supported by a core team of staff and an advisory board for decision making to realize the objectives of NYSASDRI.

 
 

To ensure the proper management of the resources, the organisation has utilized the services of renowned financial management groups for Financial Planning, Administration, Accounting and Reporting. This has developed the effectiveness of the system.

Accountability:

Accountability and transparency is the core value of NYSASDRI. It is working for the weaker and underprivileged sections of the society. The organisation attempts, systematically to be transparent, and enable one and all to know about its activities, financial flows, policies and programmes.

NYSASDRI publishes its Annual Report regularly every year. The report gives detail about the activities of the organisation including achievements, shortfalls and audited statements of accounts. That is circulated among people. A bimonthly newsletter updates about its works, which is circulated through email.

The financial audit is looked after by the Price Water House. The physical evaluations of the each and every programme has been carried out by the external team from reputed and credible institutions or appointed by the supporting partners.

Human Resources:

NYSASDRI has a group of skilled and dedicated personnel belonging to various fields of expertise such as social activism, communication professionals, social researchers, doctors, nurses, engineers, system professionals and qualified rural development activists. The organisation has developed job responsibility for each category of workers. Performance appraisal of each staff regularly is an in-built practice. The organisation provides opportunity for the knowledge and skill enhancement by deputing for external training and conducting in-house training. NYSADRI has ensured equitable representation by women members in the staff. During the years, it has developed service rules ensuring discipline and accountability for different categories of staff. Some staff members have been continuing for a long tenure of service to social development here in NYSASDRI.
