Extending Service to Remote Areas

The community members of the village Banza, an island village surrounded by the river Brahmani in Mangarajpur GP of Sukinda block, Jajpur district, are prolonged sufferers of different mild and acute diseases in view of their poor economy, education, and psychosocial situation. NYSASDRI, in agreement with the district administration, established a static dispensary in this village. Within 14 months from establishment, the dispensary has cured 8000 patients suffering from different diseases. In addition to this, the dispensary organises different health awareness programmes for sensitizing the villagers towards safe health practices.
