Genesis

NYSASDRI was founded in the year 1973 as a Village Youth Club named, Bapuji Abasara Binodan Kendra, in the Santhasara village of Gondia block in Dhenkanal District, Orissa. In the beginning, the club was limited within the village through recreational activities only.

In the year 1982, the club was renamed as NYSASDRI and started its endeavour for development of the rural poor, the marginalised and weaker sections of the society. Since then the organisation has been constantly involved in various activities related to health, education, environment, sanitation, agriculture, food security and livelihoods support. It is actively associated with an array of development initiatives in Orissa.
