Caring for the Unprivileged Children

There are 16 creche centres for children of scheduled caste and scheduled tribe children in Dhenkanal and Keonjhar districts managed by NYSASDRI. A total of 478 children within the age group of 3 to 5 are getting pre-school education, free nutrition, health care services, entertainment facilities, etc. The programme is centralized to provide day-care assistance to the children of daily labourers and wageworkers in their absence.

The basic objective of the Crèche Centres is to assist the downtrodden tribal communities by taking care of their children and their health. Appropriate training is imparted to the students by the helpers through a non-formal process with the active community participation.
