| An Appeal : |
Irrespective of age more than 1.5 percent of the population in Orissa is affected from various eye related maladies. Furthermore, People in Dhenkanal and its surrounding areas, which is devoid of any specialized eye hospital- other than KEHRC, are more vulnerable towards the rising eye diseases. According to experts, 90% of these sorts of diseases are curable, if adequate medical service provided in time. |
In Dhenkanal more than 70% people are living in a very poor condition. They are hardly able to afford to the medical expense for their minor diseases. It is not that they are not interested to improve their life. Instead, they don’t have the resources for the service. The situation is further marred by inaccessibility to the existing hospitals by the people.
In this context the hospital has a bigger responsibility to address the issues of vision and light. And it is a fact that the hospital on its own would be hardly successful to accomplish the goals. Therefore, KEHRC requests all individuals, groups and organisations to contribute generously to restore vision and enrich life. |
